Program Specialist, Full-time  


KCADV is seeking a full-time (40 hours a week) Program Specialist to join our team. The Program Specialist will be responsible for leading one or more teams to implement KCADV’s mission and strategic vision. This position promotes efforts to address intimate partner violence through a combination of social change strategies and trauma-informed social services and will include the following approaches: Policy, Resources Development, Training, Technical Assistance and Membership Development.


In support of Teams and their assigned projects:

·      Participates in regulatory, executive, and legislative policy advocacy including developing and growing strategic partnerships.

·      Engages in product development, grant writing, grant administration, fundraising, research & evaluation, and communication efforts.

·      Builds the capacity of member programs through training and technical assistance to provide trauma-informed services.

·      Assists KCADV staff, member programs, community partners, funders, and allied professionals as needed with specific technical assistance requests.

·      Creates and/or promotes membership develop opportunities including compliance monitoring, program review, and program support.

Essential Position Requirements:

Education:                  N/A as essential; however, Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree may increase earning potential.


Experience:                 1-5 years of experience interacting with external stakeholders and developing strategic partnerships that complement KCADV’s mission and vision. 


Qualifications:            Personal computer skills, public speaking abilities, excellent written and communication skills, and proficiency in networking, collaboration development, and strategic partnerships. Commitment to ending domestic violence and working for social change.


Travel:                         Frequent travel in and out of state.



Starting Salary: $40,000


Hours and Benefits: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) and includes a flexible schedule with telework option available after introductory period.
